Dr. Gabriel Dassa is one of the most credentialed ortopédico surgeons serving the Bronx community, bringing over 25 years of surgical expertise to lesiones personales pacientes at MAIC. He completed his Ortopédico Surgery Residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, followed by a sub-specialty fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at NYU Medical Center / Hospital for Joint Diseases under the mentorship of nationally recognized surgeons Dr. Charles Melone and Dr. Keith Raskin.

Dr. Dassa holds dual board certifications — from both the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery — and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He served as Chief of Ortopédico Hand Surgery at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center and Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, and as Chief of Ortopédicos and Medical Director for AllMed Medical and Rehabilitación Centers. He currently maintains active attending status at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, and Mount Vernon Hospital Center.

In the lesiones personales context, Dr. Dassa's surgical expertise covers the full spectrum of trauma-related ortopédico presentations: distal radius fractures (Colles fractures), carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist arthroscopy, joint replacement of the hand and wrist, nerve and tendon disorders, rotator cuff pathology, and arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery. He is also a qualified Medical Expert in Ortopédico Surgery and serves as médico for USA Boxing and the Daily News Golden Gloves Tournament.
