Lo Que Exige la Regla de los 30 Días
Under Nueva York Insurance Law, you must submit a completed Sin Culpa application (NF-2 form) to your own auto insurance company within 30 days of the date of the accident. The form requests basic information about the accident and your injuries. It is the gateway to all Sin Culpa medical benefits — without it, you have no Sin Culpa coverage.
Consequences of Missing the Deadline
If you fail to submit the NF-2 within 30 days, your insurer can — and often will — deny all Sin Culpa claims, including claims for medical tratamiento that is clearly related to the accident. While there are limited exceptions for "good cause" shown, these are difficult to establish and unreliable. Missing the 30-day deadline is a serious legal and financial mistake that is entirely preventable.
The 45-Day Medical Provider Deadline
Medical providers treating Sin Culpa pacientes must submit bills to la aseguradora within 45 days of providing tratamiento. MAIC's billing team handles all provider-side submissions, so this deadline is always met for our pacientes.
